About me

I adopt an integrative person-centred approach, drawing upon elements of an eclectic mix of different models, where appropriate, including:

  • Psychodynamic theory
  • Cognitive Behavioural Theory (CBT)
  • Transactional Analysis
  • Gestalt
  • Visualisation & Mindfulness.
I offer both short or longer term therapy for issues such as: stress, anxiety, anger, depression, low self-esteem, loss & bereavement, relationship problems (not couples).

My main focus is your overall wellbeing & to help you to lead a more fulfilling life during & after therapy.

I became an accredited member of the National Counselling Society in March 2019, after completing 100 supervised counselling hours at a counselling charity (Knowle West Health Association) in Bristol. This is a small counselling charity which offers counselling sessions, free at point of need, on an open-ended basis.I continue to work here as a part-time voluntary counsellor, in addition to seeing private clients at my practice address.

Before deciding to become a counsellor I had a life-long professional career as a pharmacist so have a broad experience of many diverse mental & physical conditions. This background has helped to enrich a deeper empathic understanding of the many client issues which can present.
