About me

Hi, I'm Sylvia. I am registered practitioner with the Health Professional Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Drama-therapists (BADth).

I have experience working with many issues including; substance abuse, anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, autism and older people including dementia, hoarding, and isolation and loneliness. I work with both adults and children.

My approach is humanistic and person centred. I can offer therapy and offer a confidential safe space either face to face or via digital media where we can work together to build a strong working relationship. When possible, I can also return to offering face to face sessions (London based).

What to expect in your first session.

I will have a consultation with you and this is free. I will discuss with you what has brought you to receive therapy and what specifically you feel you would like to explore and the goals you would like to achieve.

In my sessions, though we talk I will introduce creative resources, for example; the use of images, drawings, photos, movement, dance, music, relaxation, mindfulness, stories or objects can often bring a clearer and a quicker insight into your situations and problems so that that you can move forward to a more meaningful life.

I will respect your need to work at your own pace and in your own time. There is no judgement but acceptance of what you bring to the sessions.
